About
Studio Steven Scott

Studio Steven Scott is a Copenhagen-based installation art practice that specializes in the creation of light artworks and integrated architectural installations.

Projects range from Seventy Seven – a complex, seven-storey light art installation that forms the central atrium of the 3XN-designed Deloitte headquarters – to Brown Light, a series of meditative light works exhibited at Galerie König in Frankfurt and Berlin, and Gallery Weinberger in Copenhagen.

The studio is led by British-born artist Steven Scott and draws on an extended network of architects, engineers, lighting designers, and project managers. Central to Scott's works is an understanding of light and its interaction with people in urban and architectural environments. Scott had extensive experience in design for the theatre, winning a series of awards, before turning to the creation of light art some fifteen years ago. Originally a designer at the influential London arts centre Riverside Studios, he has worked with many of the world's leading ballet and opera companies, and has collaborated with filmmaker Peter Greenaway and artist Sir Anthony Caro among others.
